If you have seen my ‘Christmas Haul’ video you would of seen that I got ‘Girl Online’ By Zoe Sugg also known as Zoella online. I thought I would do a review on it as it’s a review which is a first for my blog also I think a lot of my audience would enjoy this so here we go.
First Look | Judgement
As they say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover however on first looks the cover is bright, colourful and stands out amongst other books. However if I wasn’t sure of who Zoella or Zoe Sugg was I would still pick it up to have a glance and then have a read of the blurb. On first judgement the book looks like it caters for tweens-teenagers however I wouldn’t suggest any older which I think is different once start reading.
Blurb / Outline | Judgement
‘Penny has a secret.’
‘Under the alias Girl Online, Penny blogs her hidden feelings about friendship, boys, her crazy family and the panic attacks that have begun to take over her life. When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her way to New York, where she meets Noah: a gorgeous, guitar-strumming American. Suddenly Penny is falling in love – and capturing every moment of it on her blog.’
‘But Noah has a secret too. One that threatens to ruin Penny’s cover – and her closest friendship – forever.’
Overall I find as if this intrigues me and actually makes me excited to read it as it seems action packed and something I feel as if I could relate to. Obviously having my own blog and me having experienced panic attacks before as well as me going to New York next month (eeeek) it definitely makes me want to read it.
Overall Book | Judgement + Conclusion
Overall I really enjoyed this book, I’m going to be brutally honest when I started reading I had a feeling that I wasn’t going to enjoy it as much as I hoped however with a few pages turned and onto the next few chapters I was really drawn in. So drawn in I actually finished it on Christmas Day. I started around the afternoon of Christmas Day and finished it before Christmas Day was over. You can even see me in my Christmas Day vlogs on my channel explain that I finished it so quickly.
You get really drawn into this book and as I enjoyed it so much I’m actually looking forward to taking it on the plane on my trip to New York next month as I fits perfectly with the location (as well as giving me another excuse to read it again).
