Here I am again, sitting on my computer typing away. But don’t worry this is actually beneficial!
Yesterday (15/02/14) was my first day of being healthier, and I am very happy with myself! It went very well… Until my mum decided to order an Indian Takeaway (but don’t worry there’s still some good)
I decided to use an app called ‘My Fitness Pal’ it’s currently on the app store and its free so that’s a bonus. I downloaded this app from a recommendation from one of my friends and I am really glad I downloaded it. Even though my aim is to feel better and tone up and not specifically to lose weight I still thought this app was a great idea because you can track your calories. By tracking my calories yesterday I found out that I didn’t snack as much as before. What I also like with this app it gives you a list of apps that you can connect with ‘My Fitness Pal’. I downloaded a few apps to connect with ‘My Fitness Pal’ just to see what apps work best for me and I actually found one I love.
I downloaded ‘Hot5’, ‘MapMyWalk’, ‘FitStar’ and ‘Six Pack’. I downloaded ‘Hot5’ because I liked the idea of doing a quick workout that is actually beneficial, also this way I can have time to do other things. I downloaded ‘MapMyWalk’ only for the reason that when I’m at school I walk home and walk halfway to school. I thought that this would actually motivate me and that I can record my exercises without anyone actually knowing. Now onto ‘FitStar’ and ‘Six Pack’ I have gone onto these to have a quick look but haven’t actually done any of their exercises because I currently have someone over until tomorrow morning so I’m trying to do quick workouts while they aren’t in my room 🙂
Yesterday I didn’t eat a lot surprisingly which I am glad with, this is why I like ‘My FitnessPal’! Because you are tracking what you eat, you realise therefore you don’t feel the need to snack as much. The average calories for a women is supposed to be 2,000 calories, but I’m aiming for around 1,700. The extra 300 calories are there if I get a big meal or something but I’m trying to not go over 2,000 definitely. Which is quite worrying because what I ate yesterday in total was 1,358 and normally I would eat way much more including chocolate and crisps so I am sure that before I started to be healthier I would have gone over the 2,000 calories. However I done two workouts on ‘Hot5’ which burnt 47 calories which may not be a lot, but its because I done an abs workout which actually doesn’t really burn calories as it only builds and helps muscle.
Today I woke up at around 12ish which is a late start but seeming as i’m on half term from the 17th-24th February I will be getting up at decent times in the week so today was a one off. My mum decided to cook pancakes this morning which I had 4. (with lemon and sugar) I was worried to find out how many calories I had actually eaten but suprisingly it was only 340, I also had a cup of tea so it totaled up to 390 calories. But seeing as I didn’t eat breakfast (because I was asleep) it was okay. Then I done the Amazing Abs workout on ‘Hot5’ which was a medium level.
I’m going to try and start running, but I’m dreading going out running and seeing people I know so I might stick to activities indoors at the moment.
Lots of Love
